Learning and Cognitive Disorders

 

Learning and Cognitive Disorders impact up to 20% of students at all grade levels. This includes students with specific learning disabilities, students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as students who are having other learning and cognitive difficulties.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SERESC offers a range of services for students with learning and other cognitive disorders and their educational teams. This includes comprehensive evaluation, targeted evaluation, program review and design, and case management. Services can be provided either as a collaborative team or by individual SERESC consultants.

 

Many SERESC consultants offers services important for students with learning and langauge disorders.  This includes school-based psychologyspeech & language therapyoccupational therapyvision servicesfeeding & swallowing servicesbehavioral services, and special education services.

 

Students with complex medical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities may also benefit from collaborative services with multidisciplinary METE team.

 

School district personnel can also access professional development activities targeting students with learning and cognitive disorders.
