Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired
Part-time position, year-round potential
Responsible for providing direct instruction to students with visual impairments in public schools, pre-school through secondary. The teacher will work in collaboration with school district personnel and SERESC colleagues to meet student needs as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s) or 504 Plans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: direct instruction, assessment, file review, attending IEP/504 meetings, staff training, consultation with other service providers and educators, assistive technology, low vision aids, maintenance of student records, progress monitoring, communication with parents.
QUALIFICATIONS:

5 or more years of experience in the field of Blind and Visual Impairment

Hold State of New Hampshire certification in Blind and Visually Impaired or ability to obtain

Hold degree(s) from accredited university
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience

Responsible for providing direct instruction and consultative services to deaf or hard-of-hearing students in public schools, pre-school through secondary. The Teacher of the Deaf will work in collaboration with school district personnel and SERESC colleagues to meet student needs as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) and 504 Plans. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: direct instruction, assessment, file reviews, attending IEP/504 meetings, consultation with other service providers and educators, provision of staff training, equipment recommendations and maintenance, assistive technology, maintenance of student records, progress monitoring, communication with parents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
